RATIONALE Gift Card program Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction
1.1 The following terms and conditions (as may be amended or modified) ("Terms") govern the issue, purchase, use and other activities, transactions and dealing involving RATIONALE Gift Cards. A person is deemed to have accepted and agreed to these Terms if such person purchases, uses, or carries out any activity or transaction or makes any dealing involving a RATIONALE Gift Card.
1.2 A RATIONALE Gift Card may be in paper form (referred to in this set of Terms as "Paper Gift Card"), or in digital form as an "eGift Card".
2. Purchases of RATIONALE Paper Gift Cards and eGift Cards
2.1 At this time, RATIONALE Paper Gift Cards and eGift Cards are available for purchase online at sg.rationale.com or at a RATIONALE Flagship.
2.2 eGift cards may be paid for with a valid VISA, MasterCard or American Express. All orders and successful delivery of eGift Cards are subject to the approval of the purchaser's financial institution. Until the transaction is approved, your eGift Card order may be cancelled or delayed.
2.3 A RATIONALE Paper Gift Card / eGift Card:
(a) is denominated in Singapore dollars, and may be purchased at prescribed values set by RATIONALE, with a maximum value of S$1,000 per Paper Gift Card / eGift Card (or any other maximum value that RATIONALE may prescribe in its sole discretion);
(b) may be used multiple times until its stored value is exhausted;
(c) may be combined with other modes of payments accepted by RATIONALE; and
(d) may be combined with up to four other RATIONALE Paper Gift Card(s) / eGift Card(s).
3. Redeeming RATIONALE Paper Gift Cards and eGift Cards
3.1 Redemption of RATIONALE Paper Gift Cards / eGift Cards is only applicable in the country the RATIONALE Paper Gift Card / eGift Card was purchased. It cannot be redeemed in other countries.
3.2 A RATIONALE dollar value Paper Gift Card / eGift Card can be redeemed at any RATIONALE Flagship in Singapore, or online at [www.rationale.com.sg] for the purchase of eligible products or treatments. They are not redeemable via any of our affiliated medical clinics or agencies.
3.3 A RATIONALE Treatment Paper Gift Card / eGift Card can only be redeemed at a RATIONALE Flagship in Singapore for the corresponding treatment listed on the Card. Please call (+65) 6360 5112 for more information. It is not redeemable for treatments via any of our affiliated medical clinics or agencies.
3.4 RATIONALE Paper Gift Cards / eGift Cards cannot be used to purchase other RATIONALE Gift Cards / eGift Cards and gift cards issued by third parties.
3.5 If the value of your purchase exceeds the value of the Paper Gift Card / eGift Card, any outstanding purchase balance must be paid using a different payment method.
4.1 RATIONALE can provide Paper Gift Card / eGift Cards purchasers with information about the redemption status of RATIONALE Paper Gift Cards / eGift Cards, or you can check your balance online at sg.rationale.com/customer-care/gift-card-balance.
5. Gifting of eGift Cards
5.1 When you purchase an eGift Card for the purposes of gifting it to a recipient, the recipient will receive an email confirmation containing the eGift Card details. We are not responsible for eGift Cards that are undeliverable or not received due to your failure to enter an accurate email address for the recipient.
5.2 If the recipient has not received the email confirmation within a reasonable period after the gifting has been initiated, the following is a list of the most common reasons why delivery may have failed
(a) spam filter blocked email or routed it to a bulk/spam folder;
(b) recipient's firewall blocked the email;
(c) email inbox has exceeded its size limit; or
(d) invalid email address.
If a spam filter is blocking our emails from getting to the recipient’s inbox, the email options/settings of the recipient will need to be modified so that our emails are not considered spam.
5.3 If the recipient has not yet received an email confirmation within 12 hours after you have initiated the purchase of the eGift Card for the purposes of gifting it to a recipient, or if you need further assistance, please contact consultant@rationale.com. Please refer to your eGift Card number, or be ready to supply your email address.
6. Transferability
6.1 Any unused balance will be stored in the user's Paper Gift Card / eGift Card. It cannot be transferred to other users.
6.2 While you are permitted to give a Paper Gift Card / eGift Card as a gift, a Paper Gift Card / eGift Card may not be resold by the purchaser or user for money or money's worth. Paper Gift Cards / eGift Cards are void if they are resold for money or money's worth.
7. Validity
7.1 RATIONALE Paper Gift Cards and eGift Cards expire 36 months from the date of purchase unless otherwise stated. Any balance remaining after this time will not be available for use, and no extension or refund of the unutilised balance will be granted.
8. Refunds
8.1 RATIONALE Paper Gift Cards / eGift Cards cannot be redeemed for cash and/or returned for a cash refund.
9. Termination
9.1 RATIONALE may at its absolute and sole discretion, without prior notice to you, suspend or terminate all or any part of the RATIONALE Gift Card program for any reason whatsoever as RATIONALE may deem fit.
10. Rights of RATIONALE
10.1 RATIONALE retains the right in its discretion to invalidate any Paper Gift Card / eGift Card and request alternative forms of payment if a fraudulently obtained Paper Gift Card / eGift Card is redeemed and/or used to make purchases online at sg.rationale.com or in one of our RATIONALE Flagships.
10.2 RATIONALE shall be entitled to correct the balance on any Paper Gift Card / eGift Card to rectify any accounting or processing error.
10.3 RATIONALE reserves the right at any time and at its sole discretion, to limit, add, amend, replace or delete in whole or part any of these Terms. The amendment shall be binding on the Paper Gift Card / eGift Card purchaser and/or user upon publication of the amended version on RATIONALE.com. In case of any inconsistency between the online and printed versions of the Terms, the online version shall prevail. In any event, if you continue to use the Paper Gift Cards / eGift Cards after such amendment, you shall be deemed to have accepted the amendments.
10.4 RATIONALE makes no representation or warranty that the use or processing of the Paper Gift Card / eGift Card will be error-free or prompt.
11. Risk of Loss
11.1 Once purchased, ownership and risk of loss of RATIONALE Paper Gift Cards / eGift Cards passes to you as soon as you obtain the RATIONALE Paper Gift Card / eGift Card details. RATIONALE is not responsible for lost or stolen Paper Gift Cards / eGift Cards, and such lost or stolen Paper Gift Cards / eGift Cards shall not be replaced. Please do not display your Paper Gift Card / eGift Card number and PIN online.
12. Limitation of Liability
12.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, subject to applicable consumer protection provisions, RATIONALE shall not be liable for claims or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with your purchase or use of the Paper Gift Card / eGift Card including damages arising out of changes to or termination of the RATIONALE Gift Card program or as a result of the purchaser or user redeeming and/or using the Paper Gift Card / eGift Card. This applies to all damages of any kind, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, punitive or consequential loss or damage, including any loss of income, business, goodwill or profits, or loss of data or loss of or damage to property and claims of third parties. RATIONALE's liability for any claim arising from or in relation to any Paper Gift Card(s) / eGift Card(s) shall in any event be limited to the last stored balance(s) on such Paper Gift Card(s) / eGift Card(s).
13. Miscellaneous
14. RATIONALE Paper Gift Cards and eGift Cards and their use are subject to the RATIONALE general terms and conditions. RATIONALE reserves the right to change the RATIONALE general terms and conditions from time to time at its discretion.
15. Any clause in this Terms, the RATIONALE general terms and conditions and other terms and conditions as may be agreed to or accepted by you that is invalid, unenforceable or illegal shall be enforced as nearly as possible in accordance with its terms, but shall otherwise be deemed severed and shall not affect the enforceability of any other clauses, which clauses shall continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.
